I'm Nina đŸ©ș

Medical Doctor of 10+ years, Consultant GP and educator with the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners, medical contractor with the New Zealand Defence Force, and deeply passionate about burnout prevention and recovery.

Outside of these medical roles I'm a Les Mills Group Fitness Instructor, wedding celebrant, and have far too many indoor plants for my husband's liking (he can just like....go outside, right?).

There's a fair bit going on 😅

It's unsurprising that with all of that, plus life's ups and downs, I developed burnout. It was insidious, and I totally missed it creeping in.

I thought I was fine - I was still doing all the things, turning up to events, hitting the pub on a Friday, crashing through the weekend and into the next week. 

I’d been functioning on stress for so long, I thought it was normal. Until I really wasn't. Understanding burnout, understanding myself, my values, and actually making those hard steps towards what I wanted the next decades of my life to feel like was the key.
